Sing Your Way to $100K is a singing talent promotion sponsored by PCI Gaming.  The contest will start January of 2010.  The top prize is $100,000.  Auditions will be conducted at PCI Gaming Authority properties.  Semi Final rounds will be conducted at Wind Creek Atmore and Creek Casino Wetumpuka (formerly known as Riverside Entertainment Center).  Final Rounds will be conducted at Wind Creek.

There are multiple phases to this Promotion.  There will be a Talent Audition Phase, a Semi-Final Phase, and a Final Phase.  Entry may be achieved through participation in the Talent Audition Phase, through the Play Your Way In promotion, or through participation in a promotion sponsored by one of PCI Gaming Authority’s media partners.  A total of 16 Contestants will be selected through the Talent Audition Phase, 5 Contestants will be selected through the Play Your Way In promotion, and 3 Contestants selected through the media partner promotions. 

  1. Contestant Eligibility Rules

1.1       To participate, a contestant must be 21years of age or older on or before January 16, 2010. Employees of PCI Gaming Authority and any person living in the same household are not eligible to participate in this contest. 

1.2       Contestants agree to truthfully answer questions and to make full disclosure regarding any question asked at any point in time related to this contest requested by PCI Gaming Authority.

1.3       A Contestant must be a legal resident of the United States.

1.4       The final 24 contestants may be subject to a background check to be conducted by PCI Gaming Authority.  A felony conviction or conviction(s) may be grounds for Contestant disqualification by PCI Gaming Authority. 

2.         Contest Rules

2.1       It is required that all applicants must sign and submit the copy of this document as a condition to entering the contest at all stages including the talent auditions. During the Audition Phase, Contestants will sing A Cappella.  Audition Phase pre-registration is available at www.WindCreekCasino.com.  Pre-registration for talent auditions is not required. 

2.2       During the Semi-Final and Final Rounds

2.2.1    Contestants shall deliver to the Promotion Representative a copy and a back-up copy (with identifying labels) of their accompaniment music at least three (3) hours prior to the contest on a CD.  The accompaniment music must be formatted to play on any standard CD player, or a CD/mp3 formatted to play on software compatible with Microsoft Windows XP OS. Windows Media formats are also acceptable. The accompaniment music chosen for performance shall not have any lead vocals. 

2.2.2    Back-up singers, dancers, animals or live props may not be used. Non-live props such as costumes and other accessories are permitted. Contestants may elect to use a musical instrument to accompany their singing performance provided that the musical instrument can be hand carried to and from the stage in one trip by the Contestant.   

2.2.3    A piano already placed on stage may be provided by PCI Gaming Authority provided at least 36 hours advance notice is provided by the Contestant. 

2.2.4    Contestants shall remain in an area designated by the Promotion Representative twenty minutes prior to and until conclusion of the semifinal and Final Round. 

2.2.5    Song time limit is 4 minutes unless otherwise authorized by PCI Gaming Authority. Songs going over the 4 minute time limit may be cut off. Judges, at their discretion, may cut off singer at any time prior to the expiration of the song time limit.

2.2.6    Songs containing vulgar or explicit sex lyrics shall not be allowed. Contestants who use vulgar lyrics, obscene curse words or perform in an obscene manner will be disqualified from the competition.

2.2.7    Contestants may be required to sing more than one song.

2.2.8    Contestants may be required to perform songs from particular genres or artists. 

2.2.9    Contestants, any family member or associate of a Contestant are not allowed to have contact in any form with a contest judge before, during, or after any contest session. 

2.2.10  Contestants, any family member, or associate or a Contestant shall not exhibit offensive behavior while on property. 

2.2.11  Performance order during Semi Final and Final Rounds will be determined by a random drawing or any other method determined by management  

2.2.12  Contestants shall be ready for their performance at the time designated. 

2.2.13  No alcohol or smoking is allowed on stage while performing.

2.2.14  All expenses, including but not limited to food, gas, mileage, hotel, wardrobe, and song preparation will be the sole responsibility of the contestant.

2.2.15  PCI Gaming Authority will not pay to any Contestant, Contest Winner, or person associated with a Contestant or Contest Winner any amount other than stated winning prize amounts to winning Contestants as determined by PCI Gaming Authority. 

2.3       During the Final Rounds

2.3.1    During the final rounds, points earned from game play at a PCI Gaming Authority casino by Contestants and their supporters will be totaled and used as a basis to determine a winner or winners in cases where the Judges tie in their decisions.  During the Final Rounds, it is the responsibility of each of the final 24 Contestants to obtain a Player’s Card from the Player’s Club and assure that supporters link their (the supporters) Player Card to the Contestant’s Card.  The Player’s Club at each PCI Gaming Casino will facilitate this activity.

3.         Judging

3.1       Judges will be selected by PCI Gaming Authority. 

3.2       Ties between Judges will be settled by determining which Contestant has generated the most points earned from play of electronic bingo games during the time specified by PCI Gaming Authority. 

3.3       Decisions of the judges are final.

3.4       No arguing with judges is allowed by a contestant, family of a contestant, or associate of a contestant.

4.         Prizes

4.1       Cash Prizes will be awarded as follows:

1st place: $100,000;
2nd place; $10,000;
3rd place $5,000; 
4th place; $2,500
5th place; $2,500
6th place; $2,500.


4.2       No payment by PCI Gaming Authority will be made to any agent, manager, promoter, or other person associated with any contestant. 

4.3       The top 6 winners must perform as directed by PCI Gaming Authority on the final night of the contest for prize payment to be awarded.

5.         Calendar

5.1       In the event that a change in a date or location is necessary, PCI Gaming Authority will provide advance notice of changes of such date or time to active contestants.

5.3       Audition Phase (to determine approximately 96 Contestants) Jan 16 thru Jan 31: 
January 16 and 17:  Riverside Casino (Wetumpka, AL)
Jan 23 and 24:  Wind Creek Casino (Atmore, AL)
Jan 30 and 31:  Tallapoosa Casino (Montgomery, AL)
Contestants awarded a Ticket as a result of their Audition will be assigned to a Semi-Final round on one of the dates and locations listed below.

5.4       Semi-Finals Phase:    Feb 6- Feb 27

6.         Play Your Way In Promotion (to determine approximately 4 Contestants for the Finals Phase): Jan 16- Mar 4

6.1       Players who do not want to go through the Talent Audition Phase but do want to be a contestant in the Final Phase of the Promotion may play their way into the final phase.  Players who identify themselves as a Contestant in this Promotion shall establish a Players Club account.  Supporters of the Contestant shall notify the Players Club to link their player’s account to that Contestant.  Points earned by the Contestant and his or her supporters during the dates indicated will be used to determine 4 contestants of the final 24 promotion contestants.  The 4 contestants who have the most points earned and linked to them will be Contestants in the final round of 24. Contestants are prohibited from soliciting a guest they do not have an pre- existing relationship with. If caught doing so, this they may be disqualified from the competition.

7.        Media Partnership Promotions (to determine approximately 4 Contestants for the Finals Phase): Jan 16- March 4

7.1       From January 16 through March 4 each media partner will run a contest as they chose to select one winner from their station who will become a Contestant in the final round of 24. The media partners are:
KSJ-Country (1)
WABB- top 40/pop (1)
WDLT-Urban (1)
WBLX-Urban (1)

7.2       Information and additional rules imposed by our media partners are available through each individual media partner.

8.         Other Rules and Conditions

8.1       As a condition to participate, Contestants agree to be recorded, filmed and broadcast through various media channels as determined by PCI Gaming Authority.  No compensation will be provided for contestant media appearance or appearances as a result of this Promotion.  

8.2       Finder’s Fee:  As a condition to participate Contestant agrees that if he or she becomes a professional recording artist within five years of being declared a Cash Prize Winner of this Promotion, upon the request of PCI Gaming Authority Contestant shall perform up to three concerts over a period not to exceed three years in a venue or venues as determined by PCI Gaming Authority.  If requested by PCI Gaming Authority, Contestant agrees to work in good faith with PCI Gaming Authority to schedule a concert or concerts stipulated in this paragraph.  The Contract cost paid by PCI Gaming Authority for a concert or concerts shall not exceed $25,000 per concert.   Should Contestant fail to act in good faith to schedule or perform a concert, Contestant agrees that he or she shall pay to PCI Gaming Authority damages in the amount of $25,000 per occurrence. 

8.3       As a condition to participate, Contestant agrees that Contestant shall not during the term of this Promotion or at any time thereafter, intentionally publicly disparage PCI Gaming Authority or its employees. 

8.4       NON COMPLIANCE WITH ANY RULE MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF THE CONTESTANT AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF PCI GAMING AUTHORITY.


8.5       TIMES, DATES, AND RULES MAY BE CHANGED OR MODIFIED AT ANY TIME BY PCI GAMING AUTHORITY.
